Ehin’s research has led him into such diverse fields as anthropology, evolutionary biology and psychology, molecular biology, neuroscience, social network analysis, and knowledge management in attempting to find commonalities in these disciplines that will help determine the effects of various organizational contexts on human nature and the innovative capabilities of knowledge workers.

He has published numerous articles based on his findings culminating in the writing of two landmark books, Unleashing Intellectual Capital (Butterworth-Heinemann, 2000), and Hidden Assets: Harnessing the Power of Informal Networks (Springer, 2005).
